RITUAL
In passing there are often ties left.
Sometimes they're deliberate.
Sometimes they're deliberate.
As I continued to read through the book, there seemed to be a trend in the material and notes. It's as if he was trying to solve something. The notes had progressive steps, sketches, and rehashes of prior sections. I wonder how long he spent going over this method.
Near the back of the book the writing seemed to be more sporadic. It's as if he was preoccupied. I think he knew what was going to happen. In truth now that I think of it, the more advanced that you become in a subject, the less you have to physically jot down. More of it goes into the realm of mental gymnastics.
On the last few pages the strangest thing happened. It turned into what looked like a recipe book. It was titled Ritual.
--
It read,
" It's said that there ware ways to explore the connections between souls. ... A means of reflection to what has lways been before and behind you, inside and out.
The required items were
1. A candle, scented or incense.
2. A bowl of water.
3. Sea Salt.
4. A musical instrument.
5. Three knives. 1 slim, 1 cleaver, 1 large.
....
Bizarre as it was, that was it. There were no other ingredients.
Instructions:
At night light the candle and place it upon your place of rest.
Fill the vessel with water and salt. Wash the three knives. These are your protection.
Place them crossed before your door.
Prick yourself with the pin to draw blood and burn it in the candle's flame.
Pick up your instrument focused on the soul that you wish to contact, and play the following notes.
When all is complete the connection will be established.
The ritual will form the link.
I positioned myself on the floor, guitar on my lap, and began to play the notes, one by one.
